Two Positive Things on Tuesday

Meez
I don't want to sound like I'm bragging but you can't be a rockin' chick like me without the awesome support of the people closest to me (tee hee!). Take first of all my hubby - JB!!! Our relationship is one of two positive things I wanted to share on this week's BlogDumps Top Sites Tuesday post.

JL Stars
We have our ups and downs like every normal couple, but we're not about to go Kate N Jon and make our lives a media spectacle...besides that, we don't have that many kids (and I can't ever imagine having that many anyway!). And though we have our different addictions (I'm a blogger, he's a gamer; I'm a metalhead, he's a countryboy; I'm short, he's tall - LOL!) we both want the same things in life for our family. And that, my dreamz reader, is one thing I can be proud to share.

Calvin and Hobbes
My second positive thing is (are) CARTOONS! Yeah, what would our childhood lives have been like if we didn't have cartoons? I mean I could tell you everything that went on in every episode of The Flintstones, Bugs Bunny, Scooby Doo (and still be excited about it, too!) I admit that I've continued to watch the newer cartoons with my kids. (Dora and I have become pals).

And guess what? The Sunday Comics section was my favorite part of the newpaper. My favorite comic was the Calvin and Hobbes series, which Bill Watterson finally retired (sigh!) in 1995. I always dreamed of having a son as imaginative, honest, and spontaneous as Calvin. The same year that Calvin and Hobbes went into retirement was when I met my future hubby and three years later, I had my own "Calvin".

Wow, what happy thoughts! I think Tuesday is going to be a positively dreamily day with all that in mind now. How's everybody else's day going?

Thank you, Angelbaby...I really had fun writing this post because it made me feel good thinking back at all the fun cartoons I've watched over the years myself and with my kids. And it made me feel so lucky to have the family that I do in my life.

Yeahhh, Liggybee...you're up for comments! Loved your post...having someone special in one's life is such a gift...especially when they are supportive. The differences? Aha...they are what create balance and give each something to bring tot the communications table so how lucky it is you found each other! May we all join you both for your 60th. anniversary!!

Cartoons...have to admit I'm not much on tv cartoons at all (though my other half is...as are two of the birds!) but I loved Calvin and Hobbes...found that every time I read one I'd be laughing off and on all day afterwards. That and ohhh...the Canadian one, son and two daughters and a dog...one of the daughter's named Lizzie...??? And BC...loved BC.

Clicks for you...good luck!

I appreciate your feedback, maat45. I sure would like to see that 60th anniversary someday...but that's like such a long time away! Whew! I'm one of those people that like to take each day as it comes, enjoying every minute I can. In fact, I eat like that, too! People wonder why I take so long to eat - it's because I like to chew my food and enjoy every flavor till it's gone. Yes, I can be strange. But I am happy that way...anyway, I appreciate your visit and hope you're enjoying your week so far :)

It's okay, Liggy...they laugh at how I eat, also and for the same reason. Like you, I just savour each bite. LOL...hmmm, my 100th. birthday seems forever away but I still plan on seeing it! (Yes...having a wonderful week, thanks but...big surprise. I was...am...such a fan of Debbie Harry (I mention this since you're a rocker chick...lol) I was stunned to read she is 64...64??? And on tour with Pat Benatar this summer! Coulda fooled me...time flies when you're having fun...hahaha!

It's refreshing to read about someone speaking of their spouse in a positive fashion. Have a wonderful Tuesday!

I would just like to say, that while Dora is cute... Spongebob makes my skin crawl! PLEASE BRING BACK THE ROAD RUNNER! LOL

I can't imagine my childhood without cartoons on Saturday morning - watching them while I waited for everyone to wake up!

Happy Tuesday!

So funny! Well done.

LOL! Trina, I know...Spongebob IS rather weird. My kids like him though. I think he's such a crazy character. But I do have to limit the amount of Spongebob the kids watch. Spongebob has a way of making kids get a little out of hand...

Ellie Great, glad you enjoyed the post. I really had a great time writing it and sharing it...
