Have a Careless Whisper?

Hehe...Seether has really gone all out in promoting their remake of George Michael's Careless Whisper. They not only just recently released the accompanying music video that was made in a classic arcade video game style, but now they've launched a site where fans (and just about anyone) can go and share a secret, a careless whisper if you will, of their own and remain anonymous. What a unique promotional tool! Doubt I'll use it but if you want to see what it's all about (maybe just bored?). Then check it out here. The site is sponsored by Wind-Up Records.

Seether's Careless Whisper Now On Video

Seether finally released a music video for "Careless Whisper," their remake of George Michael's popular tune from the 1980s. The video was premiered on Yahoo! Music today.

If you're expecting to see a live performance clip, or maybe some acting and a hot chick to grace your computer screen, you might be disappointed. I kinda sorta was in a way but I respect their choice. The band decided to go with some techno/digital art (does that sound better than saying "geeky"?) style. Check it out here.

Seether interview

I received a notification earlier today that the WalMart-sponsored website, SoundCheck Risers, posted an interview with Seether on their website. I checked out the site today. There are easy to find links for ordering Seether music online as either downloads or CD. One pleasant surprise is a link for a free download of Seether's Rise Above This, as well as downloads for a few other recording artists. Pretty cool if you don't already have that mp3! I didn't already have it so I downloaded it. It was pretty easy and quick to do.

Seether's Breakdown Video

Wow! I was checking out some videos on YouTube and found this Seether video for the song Breakdown, which appears on their Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces album. This video is just amazing! I like how they did the Rubik's cube thing with it. Very impressive!

Seether's "Careless Whisper" remake

If you haven't heard it yet, then by george (George Michael of Wham!?) you should listen to it now. The South African rock band, Seether has remade Wham's 1980's hit song "Careless Whisper", replacing the mellow saxophone with a dramatic electric guitar and a more pained, powerful voice than the original. Where Wham!gave Careless Whisper a somewhat confusing blend of heartbreak versus romantic feel in the original chart topper (not necessarily a negative thing), Seether set out to bring you an emotionally charged, power-driven, hard-rocking music piece.

You won't be able to find this remake in stores at this time. From what I read online, this tune is only available as a digital download from itunes, Amazon,Napster, Verizon VCast, and Rhapsody.
