If you live anywhere near the Baltimore-Washington-DC area, Rest Among Ruins is a band you'll want to check out when you're looking for a great night of hard rock and metal music. Attesting to their promising career is a sold out CD release show in November 2008. The band was formed in 2006 and has quickly gathered a large (and still growing) fan base. The band's sound is described as an aggressive metal/alternative sound. No screaming solo vocalist dominates the sounds in Rest Among Ruins. Here you hear a harmony of vocals with lead singer/songwriter Mike Semesky, guitarist and back up vocalist Derrin Ruschell, guitarist Henry Kaldre, bass guitarist Jason Goldman-Petri, and the powerful drumming beats of Geoff Palmer. You can still distinguish the smoking hot guitar riffs which help define the melodies in their music. This is definitely a band that has its act and sound together.
