Can you believe we're already a quarter of the way into 2011? And this Sunday is already Easter Sunday. Christians and non-Christians have often celebrated this day with an annual Easter Egg hunt for the kids. The kids go out in the field or gardens (wherever the egg hunt is being held) and collect as many of these painted eggs as they can. The winner is usually the one that finds the "golden egg" or the one who collects the most number of eggs.
Personally I have never been fond of these Easter Egg hunts. Maybe because I never won them as a kid? (I think my parents always got me and my sister there after it had already started). Maybe because other kids always kept pushing me out of the way to get the eggs I was about to pick up? (Boo-hoo!) Oh well, does it really matter?
Being a grown up and a mother has made celebrating Easter with my kids so much more fun than my own childhood memories of Easter were, though. No, I have never taken my children on any Easter egg hunts, in case you're wondering. It's just been more fun because I've been blessed to have so many people in my life (like my mom and my husband's mom) who've always gotten my kids Easter basket goodies every year...and they always seem to be loaded with more goodies than my husband and I would've ever gotten them. :-)
Anyway, since I normally blog about music and entertainment, I thought I'd end this post by letting my readers know that I found a pretty cool web page that is dedicated to everything Easter. There's even a page with some free .midi and .wav files of Easter music and sounds. You'll find the link at the end of this post if you want to check it out.

Nice grandmas! Bet they spoil your kids (in a good way, of course).
Well, being a grandmother myself there is nothing more fun than spoiling my grandchildren! In fact if I had known how much fun it is to be a grandmother, I would have done it first! LOL!
