Generation Y

I've always wondered about this myself. Now I know.

- The Silent generation, people born before 1946.

- The Baby Boomers, people born between 1946 and 1959.

- Generation X , people born between 1960 and 1979.

- Generation Y, people born between 1980 and 2008.

Why do we call the last one Generation Y?

I did not know but a caricaturist explains it eloquently below...learned something new!

(By the way, this is actually just a repost of an email that I've seen circulating around. Some people I've forwarded it to never saw it before so I thought I'd share it here. Pretty funny, isn't it?).

Money, money, money!

LOL! I played around with a link I found on the church sign generator site and made this dollar bill with my LiggyzDreamz™ profile picture on it. This was too fun not to post.

You can make your own fun money here:

By the way, I am in no way, shape, or form advocating the creation of counterfeit cash! This post is solely to share the cool, fun things you can do with sign makers and other "generators" found on such websites. Have fun!!!

Tattoos

I was surfing the web for pictures of tattoos, thinking I'm gonna post something about tattoos because I find it a very creative artform (I actually have one which I designed myself). I think it's a great way of self-expression, provided it is done by an experienced artist and is done in good taste. I saw some really weird ones, some so hilarious I wonder if the person who got it is really such a joker or they were drunk when they got it.

One of the craziest examples I found showed a drawing of a monkey around a person's belly-button. I didn't want to post the actual picture on my blog but if you're curious what it looked like click here. Funny, but not my style.

Then I came across this picture of a church sign and I said "NO WAY!!! They can't be serious!!!"

Sure enough, they aren't serious because if you look closely at the picture you can see a website URL on it. I decided to go check it out. The website shown on the pic has actually been changed and a redirect link comes up when you go there. The new website is http://www.says-it.com/churchsigns/. You can actually create your own funny church signs at that site. Pretty cool!!!

LOL Metal

You know all those funny lolcats pictures that float around the net, especially as comments on social networking sites like myspace? Well, I didn't realize that someone...er, rather, a number of people, have actually used the same concept on pictures of heavy metal musicians. I thought these were so funny I had to save a few pics for entertaining myself again at a later time. Here are a couple I saved:

Here's one of a Polish death metal band called Vader.

LOL!!! yeah, really, don't u dare grab minez!

I actually found these pics on the OnSugar network site, where a site user named GiggleSugar posted them in 2007 (geez, I can't believe they were actually around that long!). There were a whole lot more there. I also found more on a page from the WAREHOUSE, although not all of them were as funny as I thought these two I saved were.

For those interested in Vader's music, they have a DVD available called And Blood Was Shed in Warsaw and CD's available as well.
