Tuesday Thoughts about Reality TV

I am not much of a reality TV show fan, although I have watched a few in the past and here and then...the first reality show I remember watching was way back when MTV had The Real World.  (I think that's about the time MTV stopped playing music videos).  I only watched the first season of it though.  The next time I watched a reality show was when SURVIVOR came on and one of the contestants was a retired Navy Seal from Virginia Beach, VA.  I thought it was soooooo cool because I lived in Virginia Beach at the time.  So my friends and I were all rooting for our city neighbor - Rudy Boesch.  I also watched Rockstar: INXS and Rockstar: Supernova, which I've blogged about here on LiggyzDreamz a few years ago.

Nowadays, it seems like every TV network has some kind of reality show every day/night...like we can't get enough of our real lives that we have to watch everybody else on TV!  Yeah, I know! 

Boy Meets World, World Meet Girl!

What a cutie!  I think the producers fond the perfect young girl to play Cory and Topanga's daughter on a spin-off of Boy Meets World, effectively titled Girl Meets World. The spin-off will be shown on the Disney Channel.  Her cute smile just matches perfectly with Topanga's own cuteness!

This young star's name is Rowan Blanchard and we've already seen her in several popular movies. In fact, you may remember her as Rebecca Wilson in Spy Kids: All the Time in the World in 4D (released in 2011).  She also played Mona's kid in 2010's The Back-up Plan. 

Girl Meets World promises to be exciting.  For those who enjoyed Boy Meets World while they were growing up, your kids will surely enjoy Girl Meets World which will tell Cory and Topanga's continuing story from the point of view of their daughter.

Who hasn't seen either popular TV series The Vampire Diaries or Lost?  If you haven't seen either one, you're missing out on watching this week's featured dream guy, Ian Somerhalder. 

Two Thoughts About TV

This Tuesday, I wanted to take a breather from all the news about Bin Laden and this past week-end's Royal Wedding. I thought I might take a little walk down TV memory lane and remember one of my favorite childhood shows - Sesame Street and my favorite feature show within it. Can you guess what that was?

Has he gone too far? Charlie Sheen is just everywhere these days. We've all already known for years about his womanizing and his drug and alcohol addictions, but lately the media is just having a field day talking about the all the things he's been doing. And Charlie Sheen is either enjoying the attention or he's just not realizing how much attention he's getting. Two days ago, he started his own Twitter account and has been going around TV and radio, ranting about everything that everyone is already in a frenzy about.
